Muted tones, dried florals and a sweetheart peacock chair..

Just three integral ingredients to this earthy-bohemian inspired editorial which was beautifully captured by Nataly J Photography. Each element of this shoot exists to celebrate a rustic wilderness and unapologetic love. The Cherry Barn, a beautiful East Sussex venue, paints the perfect backdrop whilst the planning and styling by Val of The Stars Inside brings a new life to this already beautiful setting.

THE INSPIRATION

"For this editorial, we wanted to create an intimate elopement set up that would inspire couples wanting to pay homage to their love of nature. Our colour palette echoed the colours of sand, rock, and earth, and the textures also explored a mixture of raffia, wood, shells, and velvet. We loved the idea of refining the rustic boho trend, and bringing a touch of luxury to it: the grazing feast, the barefoot ceremony, and the dinner on cushions are all elements that can be done in a sophisticated and tasteful way, while still bringing that feeling of freedom and wildness! We wanted to tell the story of a couple who shares a passion for the beach and the sea, and show how this element of their story can be thoughtfully weaved into the styling and into the guest experience. Planner and stylist Valentina from The Stars Inside loves working with couples to unlock and elevate the wedding style that they love, and bringing it to life in a really heartfelt, personal way"

VALENTINA of THE STARS INSIDE

Some would say that something wild or bohemian isn't synonymous with that of luxury or high fashion but this shoot proves otherwise. Using floor cushions as opposed to a more traditional seating setting isn't any less beautiful, nor is opting to have a barefoot wedding instead of formal footwear. Is a crown made of flowers instead of diamonds any less a crown? We think not. This editorial highlights how one can still create something luxurious that might also be a little rough round the edges. There are no rules when it comes to love; the same applies to weddings. It is your day to have your way!
